Music, composition, and nature
Narjes' academic research explores musical composition as a means of self-expression. Her curriculum, Composing Music Inspired by Nature, has received outstanding reviews and reflects her continuing interest in the connections between music, creativity, and the natural world.
She continues to explore these connections through her own work and offers workshops and presentations to share her research and ideas with others.
Teaching music for a lifetime
With more than three decades of teaching experience, Narjes believes that learning piano is about more than learning to play individual pieces. Students can develop the skills, knowledge, creativity, and confidence to become independent musicians and continue making music throughout their lives.

Narjes Soliman, founder of Daffodil Music Studio, has been teaching piano since 1987. Her extensive background in piano performance and pedagogy allows her to help students become independent, confident, and well-rounded musicians.
As a classically trained pianist with a BM in Piano Performance, Narjes provides instruction in piano performance, technique, sight-reading, music theory, and composition. Her advanced studies in jazz piano and experience performing in jazz bands also allow her to share firsthand knowledge of improvisation, playing by ear, ensemble performance, and arranging for piano.
Narjes continues to expand her knowledge of piano pedagogy through ongoing study and professional certifications. Her training includes all levels of the Musikgarten early childhood music program, the Robert Pace piano teaching method, and the Performance Wellness music therapy approach. This continuing education supports her commitment to thoughtful, current, and effective teaching for students at every level.
